It Started With One Very Opinionated Dog.
Meet Kuma
Kuma is a very good boy with strong feelings about strangers. He loves his people deeply and completely. Everyone else? That's a different conversation.
Which means no groomer. No doggy spa day. No professional anything. Just his family, a bathtub, and a rapidly deteriorating sense of optimism.
Washing Kuma at home became its own kind of adventure. The shower scared him. The bathtub couldn't contain him—or the water, or the fur, or the chaos. Every bath ended the same: soaked humans, sore backs, and a bathroom that looked like a pipe had burst.
And Kuma? He immediately would run into a dry part of the house and shake off, making the clean up that much bigger.

So we built something better.
We looked around the neighborhood and realized there was nowhere to just...wash your dog. Not a full, expensive grooming appointment. Not a 45-minute wait. Just a professional setup where you could bring your dog, handle the bath yourself, and go home without destroying your bathroom in the process.
So we built it. Boop Dog Wash is a self-service dog wash in Portage Park with professional-grade bays with everything built in, available every day, no appointment needed. Designed for dog owners who know their dog best and just need the right equipment to clean them up.
What's a Boop?

A boop is that little tap on the nose you give your dog when they're being especially good. Or especially bad. Or just because they're right there and you can't help it.
It's small. It's instinctive. It's one of those things you do without thinking—because they're yours and their nose is right there and you just can't stop yourself.
That's the energy we wanted this place to carry. Neighborhood. Unpretentious. Full of genuine affection for dogs and the people who love them.
